New Orleans Saints star utility man Taysom Hill was ruled out for Sunday's home game against the Philadelphia Eagles because of a chest injury, but Jay Glazer of Fox provided more details on what is keeping him off the field this week.
Glazer said Sunday on Fox that Hill's injury is actually a bruised lung that he suffered during the 44-19 victory over the Dallas Cowboys last week.
There was some hope that Hill could play this week against the Eagles when he returned to practice Thursday, but he was officially ruled out Sunday morning for the game.
Glazer said the decision to not allow Hill to play today was to make sure the veteran tight end doesn't worsen his current situation.
"They were just trying to protect him from himself," Glazer said.
