The New Orleans Saints shocked the world in Week 2. The Black and Gold went into AT&T Stadium, a place where the Dallas Cowboys won by an average of 21.5 points last season, and blew out the hosts, 44-19. This performance proved Week 1's dominant victory over the Carolina Panthers wasn't a fluke.

The Saints have a +62 point differential, which is nearly double that of the Los Angeles Chargers (+35), who are second in the league. New Orleans has completely changed its reputation in just two weeks. Fans feel differently about Dennis Allen's team, but what do oddsmakers have to say?

New Orleans Saints now odds-on favorite to win NFC South

The Saints started with the third-best odds to win the division at +400 before the season began. However, after two stellar performances to kick off the campaign, New Orleans has become the favorite in the NFC South.

The Saints (+140) are still plus money, but that's more an indication of the competition they have, as opposed to an indictment of their early-season performances. Tampa Bay (+175) isn't far behind after Baker Mayfield's been stellar in the Buccaneers' two wins. The heavy preseason favorite, Atlanta, is also still in the mix (+225) after beating Philadelphia on Monday Night Football.

Unsurprisingly, sportsbooks consider Carolina to already be down and out. The Panthers have scored just 10 points in two weeks. They've come out the gate showing no signs of improvement and Bryce Young has already been benched for Andy Dalton. A +12000 line to win the division in Week 2 would usually be disrespectful, but it feels justified in Carolina's case.

New Orleans and Tampa Bay both look fantastic to start the year. Don't expect these odds to shift too drastically now as they play many of the same opponents in the upcoming weeks.

The Saints have scored 91 points through two weeks, which is 22 more than the next closest team, the Arizona Cardinals. If you missed the train a few weeks ago, now would be the best time to bet on Klint Kubiak's high-flying offense to win the NFC South while New Orleans is still at plus money.

The futures market as a whole has adjusted to the Saints' fast start, it isn't just the division-winning line. New Orleans is now trading at 15/1 to win the NFC,  the sixth-best in the conference, and their Super Bowl odds have shrunk from 100/1 to 35/1 at DraftKings Sportsbook.
