The Live Like a Local campaign, from Aug. 24 to Sept. 2, invites visitors and locals to immerse themselves in the culture, history and charm of St. Francisville.

Visit St. Francisville announces the Live Like a Local campaign, from Aug. 24 to Sept. 2. This monthlong initiative invites visitors and locals to immerse themselves in the culture, history and charm of St. Francisville.

From exploring the town's historic sites to savoring the flavors of local cuisine, participants will have the opportunity to experience the best of what this charming Southern town has to offer, a news release said.

The release said a highlight of the campaign is the emphasis on supporting local farmers and businesses. Visitors can indulge in meals at restaurants, which use locally sourced ingredients. Participants can visit the local grocery stores or weekly farmers market to purchase locally made and grown products.

There are 64 participating attractions and businesses, including:

Farmers markets: Every Thursday, visitors can explore the St. Francisville Farmers Market, featuring fresh produce, artisanal goods, and handcrafted products from local vendors.

Restaurants: Join local chefs as they showcase their culinary skills using fresh ingredients.

Historic attractions: St. Francisville is full of historic landmarks, including historic homes, museums, and beautiful gardens.

Shopping: Local entrepreneurs have invested back into St. Francisville by opening up boutiques, bookstores, antique shops and more. Shop around town to find the perfect unique gift.

The Live Like a Local Campaign will kick off at the annual Pop & Shop event Aug. 24. Participants will receive a Live Like a Local passport, which will allow them to gain stamps at local businesses and attractions for a chance to be entered into a drawing for door prizes at the end of the campaign.

To be entered into the drawing, participants need to receive at least 10 stamps during the campaign. Passports can be picked up at the Visit St. Francisville booth at Pop & Shop on Aug. 24 or at the West Feliciana Historical Society Museum between Aug. 24 and Sept. 21.

Visit St. Francisville’s executive director Devan Corbello said, “The Live Like a Local campaign is our way of highlighting our community in a unique way, through allowing both visitors and locals to discover (or rediscover) what makes St. Francisville and West Feliciana Parish such a beautiful place.”
